P2,P4,P7 - Genographic Project

Go to the genographic project atlas at https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/lan/en/atlas.html. Click on the 10,000 B.C. tab so that the migration routes of Y-chromosomes and mitochondrial DNA ancestors show up. Click on different routes that may reflect your ancestors migratory paths or if you found any resemblance with yourself or a family member. Record the haplogroups represented and the description of the traveling endeavors of that genetic marker. Write it in your comment to the blog by answering the following questions.
QUESTION 1: Which haplogroup(s) best describes your ascendant?
QUESTION 2: Describe the haplogroup and its distribution along time? (don’t copy-paste; give a succinct explanation of what you read)
QUESTION 3: How old is that haplogroup?
QUESTION 4: How would you make sure that you actually carry a marker for that haplogroup?
QUESTION 5: How much would it cost that test? (you will need to search this site at “your genetic journey” at https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/lan/en/journey.html, and do a Google search such as “checking ancestry DNA”, to compare costs).
QUESTION 6: What is the cost of genetic predisposition tests? (you will need to search the web for something like “checking disease DNA” and look at different companies)

The haplogroups that best describe my ascendants are haplogroups C, D and Q3(M3). They're all mostly indians they came mostly from Asia and crossed the Bering Strait then went down to South America and settled there (some settled in North America too). Haplogroup Q3(M3) is about 10,000 or 15,000 years old; haplogroup C is about 50,000 years old; and haplogroud D is about 60,000 years old. To make sure I actually carry a marker for that haplogroup is by making a family tree and including where they where born, to see around what the journey toward Colombia was. In "your genetic journey" it costs $99.95, while another ancestry DNA testing costs $130. The cost of genetic predisposition tests depends on the company some do it for free others from $600 to $1,500, $12 or $85

Q1: Alaska ice Corridor; Little Salt Spring, Florida
Q2: Alaska ice Corridor- Humans first crossed the Bering Strait on the land called Beringia. They entered Alaska. The Alaska ice corridor is just one of many theories of how Americans populated this Continent.
Little Salt Spring, Florida- 12,000 years ago Florida was a much dryer place. Indeans would have been dependent on the vegetation. The water level was 90 feet lower during this period. Many artifacts have been revealed. The Paleo- Indians starved to death after the meat of the tortoise ran out. The rising water level buried the artifacts.
Q3:The Alaska ice Corridor is 10 to 25,000 years old. Little Salt Spring, Florida is about 12,000 years old.
Q4: I would make a family tree and ask my parents and my grandparents if i fit into that haplogroup.
Q5: The participation Kit would cost $99.95.
Q6: The cost of the test is $495.

    1) Haplogroups R1B (M343) because the boy from Ireland looks like my cousin Mason and Haplogroup H because one of the women looks like my mom.

2)Haplogroup R1B were the people who dominated europe and human expansion there and had the fisrt cave paintings. These people knew how to weave clothing and had tools made of steel and ivory. Haplogroup H retreated to warmer climates of the Iberian peninsula such as Italy because they were waiting out the cold in the north west. After the cold, they moved back to the west of europe and recolonized it. Today, this group claims 40 to 60 percent of the european gene pool.

3)Haplogroup R1B appeared 35,000 years ago more or less. No one is certain when Haplogroup H came along. It's between 15,000 and 20,000 years ago.

4)You have to make a family tree or do DNA testing.

    5)The test would cost $99.95 or $130.

    6) The cost of the genetic disposition test is free, $12, and $600- $1,500.

    1. Haplogroup Q3 (M3)
    2. In Haplogroup Q3(M3), its said that nearly all native south Americans and most native north Americans are descended from this line. This line had come from Asia. Its said that this ancestor was born after the Bering Strait. After 1,000 years, they reached the tip of South America. After going through hard times, they are finally able to adapt to it and find ways to find food and shelter. After a while, the income of immigrants increased as the number of ice mammals decreased.
    3. Haplogroup Q3 (M3) is 10,000 to 15,000 years old.
    4. You could make a family tree to keep track of generations.
    5. From $100 to $130
    6. Some genetics predisposition tests are free but others cost $12, $85, and other costs.

The haplogroups that best represent my ancestors are, haplogroup I1a (M253), and haplogroup V. Haplogroup I1a (M253) moved to the Iberian Peninsula because of large sheets of ice from the ice age, after the sheets started to melt they moved out of the peninsula and all over Europe but they had a distinctive y chromosome I1a. Haplogroup V also retreated toward the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, and Balkans during the ice age after the ice age they moved to northern Europe and started the mitochondria DNA of V. Haplogroup V is about 15,000 years old, haplogroup I1a is about 15,000 to 20,000 years old. To make sure that you are actually part of that haplogroup you would need to get a DNA test. The average cost for this is about 90-100 dollars.

    1. Haplogroup M1
    2. The Haplogroup M1's distribution is along the Red Sea. Members of this group are largely absent among East Asian and Indian populations. Based on this prior to their exodus it is possible that haplogroup M individuals lived in East Africa prior to their exodus. M1 has split into four subgroups within eastern Africa.

    3. That haplogroup is about 60,000 years old.

    4. I would make sure that I actually carry a marker for that haplogroup by noticing where they were from and seeing if it is similar to me. Also by taking a DNA test, getting a swab from your cheek.

    5. The test will cost U.S. $99.95 (plus shipping and handling and tax)compared to $100-$400 per test.

    6. The costs of genetic predisposition tests are $495 and might be different depending on where you go.

    1) Haplogroup R1B (M343)

    2) Around 30,000 years ago, a descendant of R1B made its way into Europe, and gave rise to marker M343. These Cro-Magnons were the artists of famous cave paintings found in southern France. These impressive paintings provide evidence that there was a sudden bloom of artistic skills as more people moved into Europe. These people also knew how to make woven clothing using natural plant fibers, and had advanced tools made of stone, bone, and ivory. Their jewelry, carvings, and detailed, vivid paintings demonstrates the Cro-Magnons' exceptional culture during the last glacial age.

    3) The haplogroup is about 30,000-35,000 years old.

    4) I would make sure that I actually carry a marker for that haplogroup by taking a DNA test and making a family tree.

    5) For a kit at "your genetic journey," it costs $99.95 (plus shipping, handling, and tax). At other places where they conduct DNA lab tests, it costs $100-$400 per test.

    6) Genetic predisposition tests cost from $265 to $499.

    1. The haplogroup that best appears to describe my ascendance is haplogroup HV*. The Austrian woman in the first image appears to have the same facial structure as me and also has similarities with my sister’s and mother’s appearance.

    2. Haplogroup HV* is found in west Eurasia and the Near East, including parts of Russia and Georgia (the Republic). About 30,000 years ago the HV* crossed the Caucasus Mountains and crossed over to Europe as Cro-Magnons. Their quick advances in weaponry indicated the end of Neanderthals. However, the Earth began to cool and the HV* migrated into southern countries such as Italy. Today, they occupy most of western Europe. What made this haplogroup unique was that they carried mostly H and V mitochondrial lineage.

    3. The haplogroup HV* is about 20,000 years old.

    4. Since the haplogroup HV* mostly carries H and V mitochondrial lineage, a way to make sure I actually carry a marker for the haplogroup would be to have a Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) Test. The mtDNA is passed down unchanged by mothers to their children. If a perfect match is found for someones mtDNA, there is a very high chance that the other test subject is an ancestor of the individual.

    5. Mitochondrial DNA tests can range in price from $79.99 to about $149.99 depending on the company.

    6. Genetic predisposition tests can range in price from $265.00 to $495.00 depending on the company.

Q1: The haplogroup that best describe my ascendant is K (M9).
Q2: It was someone who would have been born in or around Iran; they were a new branch form the Middle Eastern Clan. For the next 30,000 years they populated the planet, these people were known as the Eurasian Clan. The hunters would follow animals that were going east, but they had to stop at the Hindu Kush, Tian Shan, and the Himalayan mountain ranges. The hunters split into two different groups, some went to Asia, and some went to what would now be Pakistan. Most of the people in the Northern Hemisphere can trace their heritage back to the Eurasian Clan.
Q3: The appeared 40,000 years ago
Q4: By researching and putting together a family tree or you can be tested
Q5: It would cost $99.95 for a test
Q6: The cost of the predisposition test depends on where you get it, but some prices are $79 $213 $299 $495.

QUESTION 1: Which haplogroup(s) best describes your ascendant?
    M343, V, and Z.
QUESTION 2: Describe the haplogroup and its distribution along time? (don’t copy-paste; give a succinct explanation of what you read)
M343 type is Y-chromosome and it is the cro-magnon of europe. These people dominated the expansion in Europe. V type is mtDNA and it was colder about 15,000 to 20,000 years ago. V is seen to be restricted in western, central, and northern europe. V attains its highest frequnecy in the Skolt Saami. Z rose in the high plains of central asia and are quite unsucessful among the mountains.
QUESTION 3: How old is that haplogroup?
M343 is 35,000 year old. Z is undetermined. P15 is about 30,000 year old.
QUESTION 4: How would you make sure that you actually carry a marker for that haplogroup?
Have test done on your DNA to see if it matches theirs.
$330 to fin female ancestors and 99.95 for a project public participation kit.

1-Well Haplogroup M20 describes preety much the area / region my ancestors came from.
2- These people came from europe and migrated south once they reached mountains they could not pass. They werent the first clan there so thier chromosomes are weak because it is believed they mated with the native women so its hard to track but at least 50% of the people that live there has M20 in thier chromosomes.
3- M20 is said to appeared 30,000 years ago.
4- To be positive a person is a part of this haplogroup theyre test you can take. That cost money. They can tell you were exactly you're from and your chromosomes so they can compare to thier archive.
5- The Genographic Public Participation test is 99.95.
6- The Predispotion Testing is a test to see what diseases you might have and that could cost you $265 per person and it increases based on how many people are getting tested.

    1) Haplogroup I1A (M253)

    2) These ancestors were attempting to get away from the large amounts of ice from the previous Ice Age and found the Iberian Peninsula, which had no ice. As the ice melted, the ancestors left the peninsula and began to spread out to other parts of Europe, where they couldn't live previously due to the ice. As they spread out, thy carried with them the unique marker known as haplogroup I1A. Presently, this haplogroup is commonly found in northwest Europe.

    3) The haplogroup is approximately 15,000 to 20,000 years old.

    4) To make sure that I actually carry a marker for that haplogroup, I would get a DNA sample from my cheek.

    5) It would cost $99.95 to get the testing kit.

    6) The genetic predisposition test could cost $265, $499, or many other costs, depending on the company.
